526699_710140827004_598360218_n¡Hola y bienvenidos!

My name is Rebekah A. Casciato Hamblin, and I’m a Spanish 1 teacher (“profe”sora)  in Gilbert, Iowa.
I graduated from Johnston High School in 2006, from Des Moines Area Community College in 2008, and after being a Cyclone fan my entire life I got to graduate from Iowa State University in 2010.  I was blessed to marry my best friend James in 2014 (yes our wedding colors were Cyclone colors) and ever since then we have had countless adventures together ranging from playing with baby tigers, rescuing two dogs, and buying our first home.

I am thrilled that work for me means doing the two things I love: working with students and surrounding myself with the language and culture of Spanish speakers. By sharing my excitement and love of the language, culture, and peoples of Spanish/Castellano speakers with my students, I am excited to help students become more confident in themselves and grow to see the world outside of themselves as they see growth in their own Spanish abilities.

If you wish to connect or collaborate with me, please  don’t hesitate to do so!
